“Meet Yourself,” a pastoral healing drama produced by Huace (Xiamen) Media and Kanxin Qing Studio, starring Liu Yifei and Li Xian, is going to aire on Netflix platform on April 7th.

Netflix, the largest streaming service provider in the world, with over 230 million paid subscribers in more than 190 countries.

Prior to this, Huace had established a collaboration with Netflix, with 17 dramas, including “Dream Garden,” “Go Ahead,” “Find Yourself,” “The Rise of Phoenixes,” and “Eternal Love,” aired on the platform, placing the company as the leader among Chinese film and television companies in terms of the number of dramas available on Netflix.

“Meet Yourself” tells the story of Xu Hongdou (played by Liu Yifei), who resigns from her job and stays briefly in Yunnan. She unexpectedly meets Xie Zhiyao (played by Li Xian), who gave up a high-paying job to start a business in his hometown. After checking into the Breezy Courtyard, they get to know the stories of the tenants who come here with different experiences and backgrounds. The drama was broadcast on January 3, 2023, on Hunan TV and Mango TV simultaneously, and has a high rating of 8.6 on Douban.

The New York Times recently published an article recommending outstanding international dramas for 2023, and “Meet Yourself” is the only domestically produced Chinese drama to be selected. On YouTube, the series was released in six languages and has nearly 60 million views, reaching an audience of over 500 million. The series has received a high rating of 8.7 on the mainstream drama professional rating website My Drama List, and has been ranked as the top Chinese-language drama recommended on the front page of North America’s Rakuten Viki. At the 27th Hong Kong Filmart, the Asian new media platform MyTV Super, organized by TVB, introduced the series, which will be broadcast in Hong Kong in April.
